As friends we always wanted to brew our own beer, not just for ourselves but hopefully for the pleasure of others! Maybe we were inspired by living in a town, Blackburn, which possesses such a proud brewing tradition, both past and present. Combining this and a genuine enjoyment of the finest real ales on offer (of which we have both had plenty of experience!) we finally decided to do something about our desires early in 2008 with our small, but beautifully formed microbrewery being installed in October 2008.
Having thought long and hard about the styles of beers and the theme that we should adopt, we finally agreed on our range of beers which are influenced by traditional Lancashire food delicacies. We feel that our beers perfectly complement the wonderful food which is on offer within our county.
We currently have a range of five permanent beers, all of which are available bottled, with a selection of seasonal ales also available at various times throughout the year. We hope that our beers, while using the very finest of ingredients, reflect the characteristics that we both wish for in our perfect pint.
